About Me

  In addition to being a photographer, I trained to be a minister and worked in supply chain management.  The common thread in these diverse professions is my search for order and meaning in the world.  Whether analyzing data and systems or exploring spiritual questions, I have spent my life looking for the pattern of things. 

  I create images that reveal the deeper order I see in the world.  I am drawn to strong geometry – interesting lines and repetitive shapes – and love subtleties of light and color.  I am most at peace with myself when I am photographing, and my photos convey that sense of serenity. 

  I’m originally from Manchester, CT, lived in Berkeley and Oakland, CA for many years, and now live in Portsmouth, NH, with my wife, Kendra.   I’ve traveled in 45 of the 50 states, 8 of 10 provinces in Canada, England, Scotland, Ireland, France, Guatemala and China.  I want to go everywhere! 

  I graduated with honors from the professional program at New England School of Photography, with an emphasis on architectural and editorial photography.  I received the Tyler Munroe Award for Creative Excellence and Spirit for my "positive attitude, concern for others, good humor and excellent academic record."
